Our story

It started with a picnic.

Picnics At The Bend started with one simple idea: make it easier to turn an ordinary day into something special.

It started with picnic kits on the beaches of Grand Bend. Then came gatherings. Then music. Then food. Then a Jamaican festival that brought hundreds of people together.

Today we're creating thoughtful experiences across Southwestern Ontario — from intimate tables and easy afternoons to nights worth getting dressed for and festivals worth planning a weekend around.

We're still big believers in a good picnic. We're just making room for a lot more around the blanket.

What we make

Four ways to get out of the house.

Gatherings

Seasonal, ticketed and intentionally small. Meet Me At The Table is the first of them — one long table, local makers, good food.

Picnic kit rentals

Styled low-table picnics delivered and set up wherever you want them. Three palettes, four hours, no cleanup.

Grand Bend Jam Fest

Our biggest gathering — a day of reggae, dancehall and Jamaican food in Grand Bend. It has its own home online.

Jam Nights

Jam Fest on the road between festivals. Alcohol-free rooms built for dancing, in towns across Southwestern Ontario.

Where we work

Grand Bend, and everywhere around it.

We're based on Ontario's west coast and we've been building a network of local partners across Grand Bend, Lucan, Exeter and Dashwood — the food, the florals, the styling, the rooms.

You bring us the occasion. We bring the gathering together.

Come hungry. Stay awhile.

There's always something coming up.
